He represented the supreme divine authority amongst all the other gods in Old Norse pagan religion (Guerber 16).

Valhalla

Viking warriors that died in victorious battle were brought to live with Odin in the most beautiful palace in Asgard known as Valhalla (Guerber 18).

Valkyries

Embattled Viking warriors knew the Valkyries were riding on their behalf when they observed flickering lights flashing up from the Valkyries’ armor into the northern sky causing the aurora borealis (Guerber 345).

Thor

Thor, the son of Odin, was a powerful god and considered to be the patron god of the peasants and lower classes (Guerber 58).
